The Bendigo Academy of Sport along with the Victorian Regional Academies of Sport are deeply saddened by the passing of Nick Hinneberg. Nick was a Tennis Victoria team member for 19 years finishing up in 2019.
He was incredibly passionate about the development of junior athletes and was instrumental in establishing a pathway for talented regional tennis athletes within the Victorian Regional Academies of Sport, which continues today. Many of our athletes – past and present, along with their families would have engaged with Nick at regional and state tournaments.
Nick’s dedication, passion, integrity and communication contributed to his success in tennis and life.
Nick will be sadly missed.
